Investment fund scam issue
The investor scam is well-known nowadays. When you pass all investor fake seminars, guides, get-rich-quick tutorials and finally manage to get real investment, it seems there are many dangers waiting around the corner.
In many countries getting investment from the investor is possible only through investment funds. Recently, a lawsuit has been filed against one, which even worse - they were a partner on the project. All started with a whistleblower - an employee who didn't want to be part of the scam...
In the beginning, all was great - an awesome idea, big and reliable investors, high-end management, reliable developers working on the project, with even more investment to come.
And just after the meeting for a new round of investment, an alert came. On the official LinkedIn page, there was a comment from the partner investment fund company: All employees got a notice for termination, scared of the probability of being sued if the code and research so far are not sent to the code repository which was related to a private account.
Hopefully, it raised concerns among all employees who had contacted the company representatives first. It was an attempt to steal the technology developed.
After the incident escalated, it became obvious what was the problem - the investment fund started their own private investing, spending clients' money, and when it ran out, they probably wanted to steal the technology and run away with new clients under one of the names they built.
The official Linkedin page is deleted a few days after, but screenshots and links inside comments are saved as proof. You can see them in the attachment/gallery. Few other pages related to the scam fund are still operating and misleading investors as continuing to offer their services as they're not being sued for insolvency and employee wages for the last 2 months.
Be very careful who you work with, and who can move your money. Keep track of your account on a daily basis. If possible, limit the number of signatures who can use money transfers from your accounts. Be very specific in your contracts, and hope that the next story will not be about your company. Visit us
